Christmas Decorations at the CrossIron Mills Mall North of Calgary Alberta

Looking at this view takes me to another place, I find this quite beautiful if you ask me. Not really something you can do on that scale in your house, unless of course you live in some vast mansion; perhaps they do create these in smaller sizes?

Every year I want to go and see what are the latest Christmas decorations that are being put out there, will they work for me and what am I willing to pay? I usually just end up buying a few small items to add to what I already have in my possession.

Are you a person that likes to drive around neighbourhoods after dark to see who has the best decorated house? We do that on both Christmas and Halloween, sometimes you find some pretty awesome sights. You have to appreciate the time that some homeowners put into their decorations as there are those setups that would take a great amount of time to fully set up.

Is it just me that is so awed when I find something that I find beautiful? My gaze always goes back to it, to make sure I take in all of the detail that is there. If you would like to see more of what we do come on over and check us out on our YouTube Channel.

Summer Comes to a Close and the Flowers Fade Away

As the end of summer approaches, the vibrant blooms and colours of the season begin to fade away. Yet, there are still a variety of beautiful flowers that continue to thrive in the cooler temperatures of autumn.

One flower that is commonly associated with the end of summer is the sunflower. These towering beauties with their bright yellow petals and dark centres are a favourite among many. They are not only aesthetically pleasing, but also have practical uses, such as being a source of oil and birdseed.

Another popular flower at the end of summer is the aster. These daisy-like flowers come in a range of colours, including pink, purple, and white, and are frequently used in fall floral arrangements. Asters are also known for attracting bees and butterflies, adding both beauty and function to your garden.

Mums are another classic end-of-summer flower that can be found in a variety of autumnal hues. They are easy to care for and make a great addition to any garden or porch. Mums are also commonly used in outdoor fall decor, such as wreaths and pumpkin arrangements.

Finally, the marigold is a cheerful flower that can be seen blooming well into autumn. Marigolds are easy to grow and come in shades of orange, yellow, and red. They are often used as a natural pest repellent, making them a practical addition to any garden.

As we have already said goodbye to summer, I find myself looking all the way forward to spring when I can once again surround myself with flower blossoms of many varieties.

Sheep River Falls Kananaskis Country Southern Alberta

I can't say that we are impartial to Kananaskis country, as we absolutely love it out there and we haven't even scratched the surface on the area as far as exploring goes, looking forward to when things warm up again in the spring of 2024. We've been to Sheep River Falls before but once you miss a few years it's like seeing it all over gain with a fresh set of eyes.

We went out to the area of Sheep River Falls but we did not stop there, we venture about and found some great hiking trails and did some exploring, it got late in the day far too soon, sad to say. There was a threat of potential rain but thankfully it skirted around us so we did not have to flee. I don't mind a little bit of rain while we are out hiking but I don't want to get drenched, as that can lead to all kinds of other things, like the sniffles, a cold or just feeling blah, so hey. Stay safe, be on the lookout for wildlife and make sure you have all the necessary hiking accoutrements with you that are definitely needed. Hey, please subscribe to KassDays on YouTube, TikTok and Instagram, we would so much appreciate it!

High River Alberta Train Dining Car

After all this time KassDays finally made it to the High River Dining Car for breakfast and it most definitely was a fantastic breakfast. We didn't know what to expect as we had never been there before, but we were pleasantly surprised; the service was great and the food was memorable, I really needed a coffee that morning by the way. We had to get the car to the Muffler Shop early that AM so we hadn't even had a coffee yet and I'm not used to having at least a bit of coffee in the AM to get myself going. Is that all just in the mind or what is it right?
