Thrilling Ride with Seavey’s Iditarod Champion Sled Dogs
In the crisp fall air of Alaska, we stepped into the world of Iditarod legends at Seavey’s IdidaRide (often tied to the champion Seavey family, including multi-time winners like Mitch and Dallas Seavey). No snow meant no traditional sleds—instead, these powerhouse huskies pulled us along on a wheeled cart, much like a rugged golf cart setup, for an exhilarating dryland ride through scenic trails.
The energy was electric! The dogs, conditioned year-round for the gruelling 1,000+ mile Iditarod, surged forward with incredible power and enthusiasm, their paws kicking up dust as they hauled us along. It was a behind-the-scenes glimpse into what keeps these athletes in top form during the off-season—training that helps prepare future Iditarod teams while giving visitors an unforgettable thrill.
We got up close with the kennel stars: meeting the tough, friendly huskies, hearing trail stories of extreme cold, minimal sleep for mushers, and unbreakable bonds between dog and handler. Puppy cuddles added pure joy to the experience!
Even without snow, the ride captured the true spirit of mushing—raw power, teamwork, and Alaskan adventure. A must-do for anyone fascinated by the Iditarod legacy. These dogs don't just race; they live for the run!

Great Falls KOA Holiday with KassDays
My Absolute Favorite: Great Falls KOA Holiday – A Prairie Oasis Worth the Drive
Hands down, Great Falls KOA Holiday in Great Falls, Montana, is my absolute favorite campground I've ever stayed at. Tucked into an oasis of mature trees, vibrant flowers, and beautifully landscaped gardens, it feels like a peaceful escape on the wide-open prairie—offering views reminiscent of what Lewis and Clark saw when they explored the Missouri River's "Great Falls" centuries ago.
It's not too far from Calgary, Alberta—just grab your passport, pack up the RV or gear, and head south for a rewarding cross-border adventure. The drive is straightforward, and once you're there, the convenience is unbeatable: many restaurants, shops, and attractions in Great Falls are within easy walking distance or a short drive. What sets it apart? Year-round operation, clean private bathrooms and showers, a splash park with small water slides (perfect for families), playgrounds, a hot tub, pet areas, free firewood, a snack bar/gift shop, and even live music on weekends during peak season. Sites are spacious and well-maintained, with plenty of shade from the trees. Whether you're relaxing by the fire, enjoying the views of the plains and distant mountains, or using it as a base to explore nearby history and nature, it delivers that perfect mix of comfort and serenity.
If you're craving a standout camping spot that's welcoming, scenic, and loaded with thoughtful amenities, make Great Falls KOA your next stop. You won't regret it! Check it out on koa.com or follow along on KassDays for more road trip vibes.

Skijor in Millarville Alberta | Skijor Alberta Event
The Millarville Skijor Showdown roared into action on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at the historic Millarville Racetrack, and it delivered everything promised: pure adrenaline, western flair, and a whole lot of fun in the foothills.
Hosted by Skijor Alberta in partnership with the Millarville Race & Ag Society, this debut event for the organization marked a milestone, Canada's first double-sided skijor course set up right on the racetrack's straightaway. Around 40 teams threw themselves into the mix, with galloping horses towing skiers at top speeds over jumps, tight turns, and high-stakes straightaways. The crowd went wild for the thrills, the near-misses, and yes, a few spectacular spills (though thankfully only the skiers took tumbles, and everyone was reported fine). Highlights included runaway mares adding unexpected drama and competitors pushing the limits in what felt like a true test of skill, trust, and grit.
The day was made even better by unseasonably perfect weather—sunny skies and just enough snow (miraculously concentrated at the track) for ideal conditions. Gates opened at 11 AM, with racing kicking off around noon, and the energy stayed high through the afternoon with cold beers flowing, food on hand, and that classic Alberta crowd vibe.
No skijor event would be complete without the style factor: the Red Carpet Catwalk fashion competition had participants strutting their best western wear for the 2026 Frosty Fashionista title. Cowboy hats, fringe, furs, and bold outfits brought extra sparkle to the snowy scene—definitely a crowd-pleaser for anyone who loves a bit of flair with their fast-paced action.
All in all, it was a smashing success: family-friendly, high-energy, and a perfect showcase of why skijoring is catching fire as one of the most exciting winter sports around. Skijor Alberta is already building momentum for more events, so if you're in the Calgary area or foothills, keep an eye out—this is just the start.

The Millarville Skijor Showdown, presented by Skijor Alberta, marks the organization's debut event and brings the fast-growing sport of skijoring to the Foothills.
In skijoring, a skier is towed at breakneck speeds, often exceeding 40 km/h, behind a galloping horse (or team) through a course featuring gates, jumps, and rings. It's a perfect fusion of expert horsemanship, skiing skill, and pure adrenaline, rooted in western cowboy traditions with a modern twist.
Gates open at 11:00 AM MST, with the main races starting around noon. The day includes competitive skijor events, classic cowboy curling, a western market with vendors, a Bottlescrew Bill’s beer garden, and a fun "red carpet" entrance where rodeo princesses judge best-dressed attendees (male, female, and child categories). Dress in your finest western flair for the festive vibe!
Rescheduled from an earlier date due to snow conditions, this event launches Skijor Alberta's mission to grow and promote competitive skijoring across the province, with more races planned ahead.Tickets are selling fast—grab yours now via Showpass (search "Millarville Skijor Showdown"). The Timeless Love of Motorcycles
There's something magical about motorcycles that never fades, the rumble of the engine, the wind on your face, the pure freedom of the open road. Whether it's a sleek cafe racer, a rugged adventure bike, or a bold custom like this beauty from Gasoline Alley Harley-Davidson (check out that deep blue shine, chrome accents, and those classic whitewalls!), every machine tells a story of passion and craftsmanship.
I just visited the 2026 Calgary Motorcycle and Powersport Show at the BMO Centre, and while the indie custom scene was firing on all cylinders with incredible one-of-a-kind builds, the heart of it all remains the same: our shared love for two wheels. The energy might shift year to year, some big brands dial back, others shine brighter, but the thrill of discovering new rides, chatting with fellow riders, and dreaming about the next adventure? That's constant.
This stunning Harley caught my eye instantly, pure attitude wrapped in glossy blue and black, ready to turn heads on any highway. It's a reminder why we ride: for the joy, the community, and that unbreakable bond with our machines.

Calgary Motorcycle Show 2025: Two-Wheeled Heaven in One Epic Weekend
If you live for the sound of engines and the smell of fresh rubber, the Calgary Motorcycle Show at the BMO Centre was your kind of paradise. This year’s event brought together jaw-dropping custom builds, rare vintage machines, the hottest 2026 street and dirt bikes, plus the latest in electric and powersport tech.
One standout moment? Spotting a beautifully preserved 1934 sidecar with a secret WWII backstory, stories like that are why we love these shows. From gleaming cruisers to aggressive adventure bikes, there was something to fire up every rider’s imagination.
We captured some of the best highlights in our quick YouTube Short (link below), but trust me, the real magic happens in the full walk-through. You’ll see the insane details on the customs, the shiny new models everyone’s talking about, and the electric bikes that are changing the game.

Gas-Powered vs. Electric Motorcycles
Gas-Powered vs. Electric Motorcycles: Pros, Cons, and Which One Fits Your Ride in 2026
The motorcycle world is evolving fast, with electric models gaining serious ground thanks to better batteries and performance. But gas-powered bikes still dominate for many riders. Here's a straightforward breakdown of the key pros and cons to help you decide. Which would you choose?
Gas-Powered Motorcycles (Traditional Internal Combustion)
Pros: Proven long-range freedom, Easily 200–300+ miles per tank on most models, with quick 3–5 minute refuels at any gas station. Ideal for road trips, touring, or adventures far from home.
Lower upfront cost, Entry-level and mid-range bikes are generally cheaper to buy than comparable electrics.
Familiar experience — That classic engine sound, vibration, gear shifting, and character many riders love. Wide parts availability and mechanic know-how.
Minimal cold-weather issues — Performance holds up better in freezing temps compared to batteries.
Cons: Higher running costs — Gas, oil changes, filters, spark plugs, chains, valves, and exhaust maintenance add up over time.
Emissions and noise — Tailpipe CO₂, pollutants, and louder operation (even with modern cats). Less eco-friendly overall.
More maintenance — Regular servicing is required due to hundreds of moving parts.
Slower acceleration feel — Power builds with RPMs; no instant torque off the line.
Electric MotorcyclesPros:Instant torque and thrilling acceleration — Electric motors deliver full power from 0 RPM, often feeling faster and more responsive than gas bikes in real-world riding (especially 0–60 mph sprints).
Much lower operating costs — Electricity is cheap (often ~$0.03–$0.06 per mile vs. $0.12+ for gas), no oil/filter changes, fewer moving parts, and regenerative braking extends brake life.
Quiet, smooth, and eco-friendly — Zero tailpipe emissions, minimal noise pollution, and smoother power delivery. Great for urban commuting or off-road where silence matters.
Minimal maintenance — No clutch, no gears (in most cases), no exhaust to rust—saves time and money long-term.
Improving range & charging — Top 2026 models (like some with emerging solid-state batteries) now claim 200–370 miles of range, with fast-charging adding 100–180+ miles in 10–30 minutes at compatible stations.
Cons:Higher purchase price — Premium models often cost more upfront, though incentives and long-term savings help offset this.
Range limitations (especially highway) — Real-world highway range is often 100–180 miles for most current bikes (dropping in cold weather or at high speeds), though cutting-edge 2026 tech is pushing toward 300+ miles.
Charging time — Even with fast chargers, it takes 20–60 minutes for a meaningful top-up (vs. gas's minutes). Home charging can take hours overnight.
Infrastructure dependency — Relies on charging networks (growing fast, including NACS/Tesla compatibility on some models), but still less ubiquitous than gas stations for remote rides.
Bottom Line: Which Should You Choose?
If you ride mostly in the city, commute short distances, value instant power, quiet operation, and lower ongoing costs—or care about the environment—electric is increasingly the smarter pick in 2026, especially as battery tech leaps forward. For long-distance touring, remote adventures, or that classic engine feel and quick refuels, gas-powered bikes remain king and are hard to beat for flexibility.
Many riders even keep both: an electric for daily fun and a gas bike for big trips. What's your riding style? Drop a comment below—we'd love to hear!Ride safe out there,

Cody Wyoming as seen by KassDays | Highly Recommend

A couple of years ago—nearly two full years now, with the anniversary coming up this June, I found myself in Cody, Wyoming, and it quickly became one of those places that sticks with you. Sure, its proximity to Yellowstone National Park is a huge draw (just a scenic hour's drive to the east entrance), but Cody has its own authentic Western charm that goes far beyond being a gateway town.
One of the first things that caught my eye was this vibrant mural on the side of the Cody Heritage Museum building. Painted on a classic red-brick wall is a striking mountain scene with a lone pine tree, the words "CODY HERITAGE MUSEUM" proudly arched across it, and a row of American flags standing tall in front like silent sentinels. There's even an old-fashioned mailbox and a whitewashed planter box with flowers adding that perfect touch of small-town nostalgia. I snapped this photo on a crisp day, and every time I look at it, I’m transported back to that sense of stepping into real cowboy country.
Cody isn’t just about history museums (though the Buffalo Bill Center of the West, with its five incredible museums under one roof, is a must-see for anyone into Western art, Native American culture, firearms, and natural history). What really made the trip memorable was the nightly entertainment that feels straight out of the Old West.
The Cody Nite Rodeo runs every evening from June through August at Stampede Park, two hours of thrilling action with bronc riding, barrel racing, bull riding, and crowd favorites like the kids' calf scramble. It’s family-friendly, high-energy, and the perfect way to cap off a day of exploring.
For something more laid-back but equally fun, I loved the dinner-and-show vibe at The Cody Cattle Company. It’s a chuckwagon-style dinner followed by a lively live music performance featuring award-winning Western entertainers, think foot-stomping cowboy tunes, humor, and audience interaction. Pair that with a ticket to the rodeo, and you’ve got an unforgettable evening of food, music, and rodeo thrills all in one go.
Cody left me with that rare feeling of wanting to return soon to dig deeper—maybe hit more trails, revisit the rodeo grounds, or just soak in the wide-open skies again. If you’re planning a Yellowstone trip, make time for Cody. It’s the kind of place that reminds you why the West still captivates the soul.
What about you—have you been to Cody? Drop a comment below with your favorite memory!

I Found the World's Most Secure Washroom?!
I Found the World's Most Secure Washroom?! | Epic Drive on the Remote Mackenzie Highway π¨π¦
Hey adventurers! If you're craving a true off-the-grid road trip, nothing beats the Mackenzie Highway in Canada's Northwest Territories. This rugged, mostly gravel beast stretches about 964km from the Yukon border deep into the NWT, ending near Fort Providence, and it's packed with wild beauty and surprises.
We hit the road for a bucket-list drive through endless boreal forests, dramatic river valleys, and zero crowds. The dust, bumps, and remote vibes make it feel like a real adventure, but the payoffs are huge: spotting massive wood bison grazing roadside (they basically own the highway!), reindeer wandering the taiga, and maybe even a bear sighting if you're lucky. It's like driving through a live nature show!
And then... the moment that had me laughing out loud: **the world's most secure washroom**! π½ Tucked away in this northern wilderness, this spot is locked down tighter than a bank vault, perfect for a hilarious pit stop after hours of gravel and wilderness. Is it really the most secure on the planet? You'll have to watch to find out!
The trip didn't go 100% as planned (classic road trip chaos!), but that's what makes it unforgettable. If you're into raw northern Canada vibes, planning a remote drive, or just love wildlife and wide-open spaces, this route is calling your name.
Video goes live today at **3:30 pm MST**—subscribe and hit the bell so you don't miss it! ππ²
Have you tackled a remote Canadian road trip? Drop your stories (or bison sightings!) in the comments, I'd love to hear!
