100,000 Signs & Soothing Hot Springs

100,000 Signs & Soothing Hot Springs: Day 4 on the Alaska Highway (Muncho Lake to Watson Lake, Yukon)

One of the best parts of any epic road trip is those perfect days where everything just clicks — stunning scenery, unexpected wildlife, a relaxing soak in the wilderness, and a quirky roadside attraction that stops you in your tracks. That’s exactly what Day 4 of our Alaska Highway adventure delivered as we rolled from Muncho Lake toward Watson Lake in the Yukon.

If you haven’t watched the video yet, grab a coffee (or a virtual hot spring soak) and check it out here: 100,000 Signs & Hot Springs! ♨️ Alaska Highway Day 4. It’s packed with 4K footage, real-time reactions, and all the little details that make the Alaska Highway so special.

Wildlife on the Road: Bison, Ibex, and Pure Northern Magic

The day started early with some incredible wildlife sightings right along the highway. We spotted ibex grazing near the road, followed by multiple herds of massive wood bison — some wandering right beside (and occasionally across) the pavement. Driving slowly and giving them plenty of space was key. These animals are wild, powerful, and a reminder that on the Alaska Highway, nature is very much in charge. The fall colours lighting up the landscape added an extra layer of beauty to every mile.

Liard River Hot Springs: A Natural Oasis in the Wilderness

One of my absolute favourite stops of the entire trip — and easily a highlight for many travelers — was Liard River Hot Springs. Tucked just off the highway in British Columbia, this natural sulfur spring feels like a hidden gem (though it’s a well-known favourite among Alaska Highway veterans).

We took a relaxing dip in the warm, mineral-rich pools surrounded by lush boreal forest and boardwalks. The water is soothing, the setting is peaceful, and it’s the perfect way to recharge after days on the road. There’s even a campground right there if you want to extend the stay. Pro tip: the sulfur smell lingers a bit afterward, but it’s totally worth it. This stop turned a long driving day into something truly memorable. ♨️

Crossing into the Yukon & the Legendary Signpost Forest

As we pushed north, we crossed the 60th parallel and officially entered the Yukon — with a few back-and-forths between territories along the way. Then came Watson Lake’s Signpost Forest — hands-down one of the most unique and fun attractions of the whole journey.

Started in 1942 by a homesick U.S. soldier (Carl K. Lindley) who nailed up a sign for his hometown while working on the Alaska Highway, the “forest” has exploded into over 100,000 signs from all over the world. License plates, hometown markers, quirky messages — you name it. Wandering through the maze of posts feels like a global scavenger hunt. We hunted for familiar places, marvelled at how far some signs had travelled, and soaked up the history at the nearby visitor center. It’s quirky, creative, and utterly unforgettable. Definitely bring (or make) a sign from home if you visit!

Why This Day Stood Out

From Muncho Lake’s shores to the hot springs refresh and the whimsical Signpost Forest, Day 4 captured the spirit of the Alaska Highway perfectly: wild, unpredictable, relaxing, and full of character. The mix of nature, history, and human creativity along this route is what keeps drawing people back (or inspiring first-timers like us to finally make the trek).

The video does a great job showing the real flow of the day — the drives, the stops, the “whoa” moments — all in beautiful 4K. Whether you’re planning your own northern adventure, reminiscing about one, or just dreaming from the couch, it’s a fun watch.

Have you been to Liard Hot Springs or the Signpost Forest? What was your favorite quirky or relaxing stop on a road trip? Drop your stories in the comments — I love hearing them!

Safe travels, keep exploring, and thanks for joining the KassDays journey. More Alaska Highway days coming soon!

Spectacular Cavalry Precision at Spruce Meadows Alberta

Lord Strathcona’s Horse Musical Ride
Calgary’s world-famous Spruce Meadows was the perfect stage for a thrilling display of Canadian military heritage in this captivating video from KassDays.
Watch as the Strathcona Mounted Troop — the ceremonial display unit of Lord Strathcona’s Horse (Royal Canadians) — delivers a high-energy Musical Ride and skills-of-arms demonstration. These skilled soldiers on horseback move in perfect synchronization, performing intricate patterns, fast-paced charges, and the exciting traditional sport of tent pegging. SUV Hotel: Trunk Mate Install in the Chevy Traverse

KassDays released a new video showing exactly how to turn a Chevy Traverse into a comfortable, no-build sleeping platform.

In “The SUV Hotel | Trunk Mate Install & The Secret to a Level Bed,” I installed the Trunk Mate in the back of my 2021 Traverse. This simple wooden slat system drops right onto the folded rear seats, giving you a flat, full-length sleeping area with zero permanent modifications.

At the 5:20 mark I share my little “secret” for getting the support legs perfectly level — the part that usually frustrates most people.
Once the platform is in, just add your favourite sleeping setup: inflatable mattress, foam topper, or whatever you like best. The front seats still work for sitting up, so it’s totally livable for weekend trips or quick overnighters.

Pro tip: Throw in a portable toilet. It gives you peace of mind when nature calls and there’s no decent restroom around.
If you’re looking for an easy, affordable way to camp in your Traverse (or most SUVs), this is a solid option.  Video is live now on the KassDays YouTube channel.  Sleep flat. Travel simple.

Roof Rack Install on my SUV

This 4K tutorial provides a comprehensive, step-by-step guide for installing aftermarket load bars on a 2021 Chevy Traverse. While many high-end brand name racks are available, this guide focuses on a cost-effective alternative rated for 220 lbs (approx. 105 kg), utilizing the vehicle's existing fixed-point roof rails.

Key Installation Steps

The process begins with preparing the vehicle's roof rails by removing the flush plastic caps that protect the factory mounting points.

  • Pro Tip for Maintenance: Replace the factory plastic caps with metric screws and lock washers painted black. This allows you to easily seal the holes and prevent dirt or water ingress when the rack is removed, while keeping the removal process fast and simple.
  • Bracket Preparation: The kit includes specific brackets for the right (blue bag) and left (white bag) sides. It is crucial to slide these onto the load bars and keep them loose for final adjustments once on the roof.
  • Aerodynamic Alignment: Ensure the load bars are oriented correctly, with the tapered edge facing forward to minimize wind noise and drag.
  • Protecting Your Paint: Use a blanket or cardboard to cover the roof while positioning the bars to prevent accidental scratches during the solo installation.

Final Adjustments

Once the brackets are hand-tightened to the roof rails, center the load bars within the brackets for an even weight distribution. Tightening the underside torque screws can be cumbersome due to the awkward angle; using a small ratchet can make this process significantly faster than using a standard Allen key.

Following this guide ensures a secure install.

Skeleton Cop & Patriotic Bike Like Up World of Wheels Calgary

Busted! Skeleton Cop & Patriotic Bike Light Up World of Wheels Calgary

World of Wheels Calgary just got a whole lot more entertaining.First, we spotted a skeleton police officer straight-up owning the paddy wagon. Full uniform, classic hat, permanent grin — this bony cop looks ready for the longest stakeout in history. Dark humour meets retro cruiser vibes, and it certainly amused me, I have seen this officer somewhere before I think?
Then we found a custom motorcycle wrapped in bold red, white, and blue glory. Chrome popping, stars-and-stripes attitude cranked to eleven — pure freedom on two wheels.
From graveyard-shift giggles to full-on patriotic fire, these two builds nailed the wild, creative energy that makes car shows addictive.
Check out the full short on the KassDays YouTube channel and tell us: which one stole the show for you — the skeleton cop or the flag-waving chopper?

Calgary International Auto & Truck Show Ferrari Spider

Hey KassDays peeps, it's Kass here with a spotlight on one of the absolute show-stoppers from the Calgary International Auto & Truck Show (March 12–15, 2026, at the BMO Centre)!

This stunning yellow Ferrari SF90 Spider was turning heads left and right in the official Ferrari of Alberta booth. Parked proudly under the "OFFICIAL FERRARI DEALER" and "FERRARI OF ALBERTA" signage, it sat there like royalty amid the crowds, with those two lovely hostesses adding to the glamour.

The SF90 Spider is the open-top thrill machine in Ferrari's hybrid supercar lineup—the convertible sibling to the SF90 Stradale. It's a plug-in hybrid powerhouse blending a twin-turbo 4.0L V8 (good for 769 hp on its own) with three electric motors for a combined output of around 986 hp (or 1,000 PS in Ferrari speak). That means blistering performance: 0-60 mph in about 2.5 seconds, a top speed over 210 mph, and that signature Ferrari howl mixed with instant electric torque for mind-bending acceleration.

What makes this one pop in person: That vibrant Giallo Modena (or similar bright yellow) paint that screams energy and makes the sleek Pininfarina lines shine even brighter.
Smooth, flowing bodywork with elegant curves around the wheel arches, side sills, and those iconic horizontal LED headlights up front.
The wide, low grille for aggressive intake, plus black accents and yellow brake calipers flashing through the dark wheels.
A big, active rear spoiler (raised here for full drama) that's integrated cleanly—refined Ferrari style, not over-the-top jagged aero.
The removable hard top (RHT) means you can go from coupe-like refinement to open-air exhilaration in seconds—perfect for soaking in that V8 soundtrack.

This beast isn't just about looks; it's Ferrari's tech flagship, blending F1-derived hybrid systems, all-wheel drive, and razor-sharp handling for both road and track. Spotted in the expanded exotics area this year (which was massive—25,000+ sq ft for brands like this, plus dedicated Ferrari/Maserati space), it proved why the Calgary show delivered big on dream cars.

Yellow on a Ferrari? Controversial to some, but I say it's bold perfection—pops like nothing else and captures that fun, high-energy vibe these cars are built for.

If you caught this beauty in person (or missed it and want the full vibe), drop a comment: Would you rock yellow on your dream Ferrari, or stick to classic Rosso? Check my vlog for more close-ups and show highlights!

Calgary International Auto and Truck Show at the BMO Centre

The Batmobile has roared into the spotlight once again on KassDays, this time spotlighting the iconic Tumbler from Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight trilogy. In this exciting new video, the channel dives deep into one of the most memorable vehicles ever showcased at the Calgary International Auto and Truck Show at the BMO Centre.Viewers get an up-close look at the Tumbler's jaw-dropping details: its massive armoured body, rugged off-road tires, jet-engine-inspired exhausts, and cockpit-style interior that screams Gotham grit. KassDays explores this beast—its origins as a high-fidelity replica, engineering highlights, and the sheer spectacle it brings to auto shows.

A fun highlight is the street legality debate: Could this military-grade machine actually hit Macleod Trail? Weighing the Tumbler's width, power (often Chevy V8-based in replicas), lighting, emissions, and Alberta regulations, it's a thrilling "what if" for car enthusiasts—likely not road-ready without major mods, but perfect for turning heads at events.

The video doubles as a teaser for the 2026 Calgary International Auto and Truck Show (March 12-15), promising an even bigger edition with expanded exotic car displays, rare supercars, quirky builds, and the newest 2026 models. From high-end exotics to debates over creative engine swaps, it's a gearhead paradise.

Whether you're a Batman fan or automotive aficionado, this KassDays feature captures the excitement of Calgary's premier auto event. Head to the channel for the full thrill—perfect prep before hitting the BMO Centre!

Soaking in Paradise: Liard River Hot Springs Along the Alaska Highway

My Stop at the Liard River Hot Springs Along the Alaska Highway
Hey KassDays readers! If you're dreaming of a road trip oasis in the middle of northern wilderness, Liard River Hot Springs Provincial Park in British Columbia delivers exactly that, and more. In my latest video ("Making Our Mark! 🪧 Watson Lake Sign Post Forest & Liard Hot Springs"), I share the journey along the Alaska Highway, but the real highlight is arriving at these fabulous natural hot springs after a scenic drive filled with potential bison sightings.Liard River Hot Springs is Canada's second-largest known thermal spring complex, fed by six geothermal sources pumping out 120–130 liters per second of mineral-rich, naturally heated water. What makes it truly special? The constant flow keeps the area ice-free even in brutal northern winters, creating warm swamps and pools amid the boreal forest. The main "Alpha Pool" ranges from steaming hot near the bubbling sources (up to 52°C) to comfortably warm downstream—perfect for a long, relaxing soak that melts away road fatigue.Access is easy via a scenic boardwalk trail through the lush, orchid-filled wetlands (watch for wildlife like bears, stay on the path and respect the electric fencing!). The water has that classic sulfur scent, but the therapeutic soak in a remote, untouched setting feels magical, especially when you're dipping in shorts on a chilly evening.Right on-site is a large, well-maintained provincial campground with spacious, treed sites (dry camping, no hookups, but very level and private). It's a popular stop for Alaska Highway travellers, book ahead in summer, but it's often peaceful with friendly staff and plenty of room to unwind. Campers rave about the convenience: soak by day, crash by night, and wake up refreshed for the next leg.I hope to return one day, the combination of natural beauty, geothermal wonder, and that perfect roadside respite is hard to beat. It's a true northern gem that reminds you why these epic drives are worth every mile.Watch the full video here: https://youtu.be/JU3m9kmDj8E

Unlocking the Unknown | A Sneak Peek into Kass's Original Content Universe

Unlocking the Unknown: A Sneak Peek into Kass's Original Content Universe

In the ever-expanding world of short-form video magic, where 60 seconds can spark curiosity and leave you scrolling for more, one creator is quietly carving out a niche that's equal parts mystery and must-watch entertainment. Enter Kass's latest YouTube Short, What Will You Discover Next? 🤔 A 60-Second Look Into Our Original Content!, a tantalizing teaser that's not just a video, it's an invitation to adventure. Clocking in at a brisk minute, this clip is the perfect appetizer for anyone hungry for fresh, unfiltered storytelling that blends the thrill of the unknown with the comfort of clever curation. The Hook: A Question That Pulls You InRight from the jump, the video opens with a simple, emoji-fuelled query: "What will you discover next? 🤔" It's a line that's deceptively profound, echoing the spirit of explorers charting unvisited territories or night owls falling down rabbit holes of rabbit holes. Against a backdrop of subtle, pulsating visuals—think cosmic swirls fading into urban streetlights—the narration (delivered in Kass's signature smooth, conspiratorial tone) sets the stage: "In a world overflowing with recycled memes and algorithm-approved noise, what if you stumbled upon something truly original?"This isn't hyperbole. Kass, the enigmatic force behind the channel (with a growing subscriber base that's buzzing in niche online circles), has built a reputation for content that's as unpredictable as it is polished. If his past drops are any indication—quick-hit docs on forgotten history or mind-bending "what if" scenarios—this Short is a meta-masterpiece, teasing the "original content" pipeline without spilling a single spoiler.Breaking Down the 60-Second MagicLet's dissect this bite-sized brilliance scene by scene, because every frame feels intentional:
  • 0-15 Seconds: The Tease
Quick cuts of abstract imagery dominate: a lone figure silhouetted against a starry sky, flipping through a glowing book that morphs into digital code. Overlay text flashes phrases like "Hidden Histories" and "Tomorrow's Myths Today." The music? A lo-fi synth wave that builds tension without overwhelming—think Tycho meets a cyberpunk soundtrack. Kass's voiceover whispers, "We've got stories that haven't been told... yet." It's a nod to his upcoming series, rumoured to dive into real-world enigmas with a speculative twist.
  • 15-30 Seconds: The Build
Here, the pace quickens. Montage mode engages: snippets of what looks like behind-the-scenes footage—Kass scribbling notes in a dimly lit studio, archival clips of obscure events (is that a grainy 1920s expedition?), and user-generated Easter eggs from past videos. The hook deepens with, "From the edges of science to the shadows of folklore, our originals aren't just videos—they're portals." Viewers report a genuine "aha" chill, the kind that makes you pause mid-commute.
  • 30-60 Seconds: The Call to Action
The climax hits with a flourish: a rapid-fire grid of thumbnails for hypothetical future drops—"Echoes of Atlantis?" "AI's Secret Diary"—each pulsing with neon accents. The music swells to an optimistic crescendo as Kass signs off: "Subscribe now. Your next discovery starts here." End screen? Clean and clickable, with links to his Patreon for early access and a cheeky poll: "What's your wildest 'what if'?"
At under 1,000 views (as of this writing—give it time; these things explode overnight), it's raw potential personified. Uploaded just weeks ago, it's already racking up comments like "This is the content drought we've all been waiting to end" and "Kass, drop the full series yesterday!"Why This Matters in the Short-Form EraIn an age where TikTok trends die faster than they trend and Instagram Reels feel like factory-farmed fun, Kass's approach is a breath of fresh air. This Short isn't chasing virality through shock value or dances—it's betting on brains over brawn. By promising "original content" that's thoughtful, thematic, and teasingly vague, Kass is tapping into the zeitgeist of curious millennials and Gen Zers craving depth in their doom-scrolls. It's promotional genius: not pushy, but personal. As one commenter put it, "Feels like Kass is whispering secrets directly to me."And let's talk timing. With YouTube Shorts now boasting over 50 billion daily views globally, this clip positions Kass perfectly for algorithmic love. Expect crossovers—maybe a collab with history buffs or sci-fi podcasters—to amplify its reach. If his track record holds (remember that viral thread on "lost inventions" that hit 100K?), this could be the spark for a full-blown content renaissance.Join the Discovery: What's Next for You?Kass might be playing coy about specifics ("that's the best I could get out of him for now," as his inner circle teases), but one thing's clear: this Short is your VIP pass to something bigger. Hit play, subscribe, and let the question linger—what will you discover next? Whether it's unravelling urban legends or re-imagining tomorrow's headlines, Kass's world is one worth getting lost in. Watch it here: What Will You Discover Next? Pro tip: Share your own "what if" in the comments below—Kass is known to lurk and respond.
